POSITION:  GUEST SERVICES AGENT

STATUS:  FULL-TIME

DEPARTMENT:  FRONT OFFICE

RATE OF PAY: HOURLY

REPORTS TO:  FRONT OFFICE MANAGER 

The mandate of the Guest Service Agent is to ensure that the Delta Whistler Village Suite’s guests’ expectations are met by delivering quality guest service. Through proper front office procedure and successful selling techniques you will assist the Delta Whistler Village Suites in achieving and fulfilling its objectives and revenue targets. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Cash, cheque, traveler’s cheque, credit card, and debit card handling
  • Customer relations
  • Exceed the expectations of all guests through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently and politely to all requests
  • Consistently take ownership of guest issues and follows up to ensure satisfaction through empowerment process
  • Help create a positive work environment, through team work and co-operation with peers and team leaders
  • Guest reception for check in/out processes
  • Answering telephones and communicating to other departments via radio

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Post secondary education specializing in Hospitality Management an asset or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated computer skills (Opera, Word, Excel, Microsoft Office)
  • You are a dynamic, enthusiastic, assertive career minded individual who is eager to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including team building, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to practice and maintain consistent key standards as per Delta Hotels policies and procedures
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of sales and up-selling techniques an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Must be a mature individual who is focused on customer service and is capable of working in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • A second language an asset
  • A background check is required for this position
