Night Auditor - Full Time
Check-in and check-out guests, audits guest accounts and prints statistical reports. Acts as security throughout the night.
Check-In and Out Services
Prepares and prints guest folios, presents folios to guest, corrects errors and discrepancies on guest accounts and resolves guest complaints.
Greets guests, presents and receives completed registration cards, assigns rooms and informs guests of room location and rate, key enters information and checks credit approval.
Enroll guest into Delta Privilege.
Enters information such as room number and messages.
Files check-out registration cards.
Posts charges to guest accounts and performs a high balance and bucket check.
Responds to telephone calls, takes messages and reservations or cancellations.
Exchanges currency and operates safety deposit boxes.
Collects cash or cheque payment for guest accounts.
Audits room charges and reconciles and balances revenue generated.
Balances cash float at the end of the shift.
Verifies the deposits prepared by Front Desk, Food and Beverage outlets and other Hotel areas.
Deposits cash in drop safe and float in safety deposit box, based on own individual floats.
Completes and balances Outlet’s spreadsheets. (i.e. Banquet, Food & Beverage).
Clears machines, takes readings and prepares summaries outlining daily revenue of outlets. Balance of Wonderland terminal (Summer season only).
Reviews account status of checked out guests to verify a zero balance and relays problems to the Senior Night Auditor.
Prints, photocopies and distributes night reports to various departments. Check out guest folios and deliver to rooms at night.
Maintains and enters a wake-up call list.
Runs system back-up and prepares audit packages for the Accounting Department.
Monitors hotel facilities, perimeters and floor to floor checks as prescribed, and reports only deficiencies and/or takes action as required.
Ensures fridge’s, bar, entrances and exits are checked and locked daily on a prescribed time frame.
Compiles and submits a daily security report to General Manager.
Actively participates in quality Teams as assigned.
Actively participates in all assigned training programs.
Assists other team members in own or other departments as required.
Coordinates the transportation of guests to and from the Airport.
Complies with Hotel policies and procedures.
Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.
Safety & Wellness
Works in compliance with company Safety & Wellness policies and procedures.
Complies with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Reports any unsafe or hazardous condition/practice to the supervisor.
Maintains work area in a clean, orderly manner.
Never operates any equipment, machine, device or work process in a manner that will endanger him/herself, another worker, or a guest.
