JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Checking in guests to the hotel, check guests out of the hotel and assist with guest queries whenever required.
  • Set up and tear down evening buffet and ensuring food safety regulations are met.
  • Answering guest inquires in a courteous, professional and attentive manner at all times
  • Answering telephone calls and handling/balancing cash
  • Follow up on guest concerns and requests
  • Establish a personal rapport with the guest to learn about their needs and expectations
  • Actively seek feedback from guests, following up and taking action to exceed guest expectations.
  • A personalized touch during guest interaction to ensure they feel welcome and special
  • Strong and effective communication with all other departments.
  • Promote and maintain a Safe and Healthy work environment adhering to the legislation set out by Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Managers

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Promote and maintain a Safe and Healthy work environment adhering to the legislation set out by Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Dynamic, self motivated, enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions
  • Strong customer service and hotel experience an asset.
  • Previously demonstrated commitment to exceeding guests' expectations at all times
  • Previous experience working within a Front Office environment
  • Must have Servesafe certification
  • Must be computer literate, with experience in OPERA
  • Professional in presentation and demeanor
  • Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Must enjoy working in a team environment
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts
  • Must be fluent in English, verbal and written.  A second language would be an asset.
