JOB SUMMARY:

This occupation helps to build theDeltaCalgaryAirportexperience for our customers through a ‘customer comes first’ attitude by providing hands-on timely quality service, exceptional value, and a superior product.   Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper and the Housekeeping Supervisors, the Houseperson is responsible for ensuring public areas of the Hotel are cleaned and linens are restocked to the high presentation standards of theDeltaCalgaryAirportand Delta Hotels.  The position is accountable for modeling and acting in accordance with the Delta’s Core Values and Code of Ethics.

  

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans and vacuums public areas, and washrooms to the high guest service standards of theDeltaCalgaryAirport
  • Sorts dirty linens and delivers to designated area
  • Delivers clean linen to floor closets and storerooms
  • Delivers and re-stocks supplies in linen closets
  • Assists with guest turn-down service
  • Delivers guest laundry
  • Courteously and promptly responds to guest requests
  • Moves heavy objects as requested
  • Carpet shampooing
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment at all times
  • Understands the emergency procedures for the Housekeeping department and understands the emergency procedures for the entire Hotel.
  • Shift work required.

  

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:

  • ATEC Certification and/or job-related experience an asset
  • Ability to relate well to Hotel guests and employees
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Observant, discriminating and detail-oriented
  • Read and write English fluently
